About Youth Pride LGBTQ Center (ATL)
YouthPride, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, protects, unites, and dignifies the lives of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning youth and young adults.
In January of 1995, YouthPride’s founders recognized the growing number of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQQ) young people seeking support in Atlanta’s mental health system. The need for a safe, supportive environment in all institutions serving youth was clear.
Over the next few years, increasing numbers of LGBTQQ youth discovered YouthPride. Supported then entirely by adult volunteers, the organization soon outgrew the spaces it borrowed from area businesses and community centers. According to the youth, what YP needed, above all else, was a safe, youth-only, secure space where they could drop-in and connect with people like themselves.
YouthPride provides a safe, comfortable space where youth can conduct support and discussion groups, plan youth-led workshops, utilize library and computer resources, attend social gatherings, or explore educational and career opportunities. YouthPride remains metro Atlanta’s only LGBTQQ organization dedicated solely to the needs and interests of youth.

BUTCH Voices consists of critical thinking, open minded, gender bending social justice activists who share a common goal of increasing positive visibility for Butches, Studs, Aggressives and other similar identities.
We are woman-identified Butches. We are trans-masculine Studs. We are faggot-identified Aggressives. We are noun Butches, adjective Studs and pronoun-shunning Aggressives. We are she, he, hy, ze, zie and hir. We are you, and we are me. The point is, we don’t decide who is Butch, Stud or Aggressive. You get to decide for yourself.
BUTCH Voices is a grassroots organization dedicated to all self-identified Masculine of Center* people and our Allies. We, at BUTCH Voices, feel it is important to bring together our diverse communities, build bridges and make connections. About Trans Equality
The National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE) is a 501(c)3 social justice organization dedicated to advancing the equality of transgender people through advocacy, collaboration and empowerment.
NCTE was founded in 2003 by transgender activists who saw the urgent need for a consistent voice in Washington DC for transgender people.
NCTE provides this presence by monitoring federal activity and communicating this activity to our members around the country, providing congressional education, and establishing a center of expertise on transgender issues.
NCTE also works to strengthen the transgender movement and individual investment in this movement by highlighting opportunities for coalition building, promoting available resources, and providing technical assistance and training to transpeople and our allies
NCTE sees this type of assistance as strengthening new and existing transgender organizations and our allies, initiating coalition building, and empowering state and local advocates who can mobilize on the federal level.
